Last week on 12th December, I visited Jodhpur, Rajasthan. The visit was primarily a official and little bit personal. I boarded train from Old Delhi Railway Station at 5.30 pm, which was bound to Jaisalmer. I landed on Jodhpur railway station at 6 am in the morning. Directly reached my hotel called Jain Excellency near Barkatulla Khan Stadium and Kalpatru Cinema Hall. The room was nice and spacious which I loved a lot.
The place is favorite with foreigners and Indians equally, who want to see the heritage of India. Recently, Jodhpur is also a preferred place for Destination Wedding in Rajasthan at the Fort, to give your wedding a royal touch, so that you can cherish it for the rest of your life.
I was to meet someone at 10.30 am at a place very near to the Hotel. So I took a cup of tea in my room and took a short nap for an hour. Later on, I got ready and reached the ethnic fashion house called Bharat Plaza, where I have to meet the person. He was a young man, a cheerful and full of life personality. He started his online business at this small city in Rajasthan 10 years back in 2004. At that time he was intelligent enough to start and think of a online business. I was pretty surprised and amazed at his vision, which not many people at that time in India were having. We started discussing about his plans and vision for future. We discussed about the various aspects of Digital Online Marketing and Internet Marketing in context with his business. He got pleased with this discussion. The best part of the meeting which continued for two days was the lunch. I liked the Rajasthani traditional food very much. Being a foodie my self, I liked the Methi ki Puri, Feeni, Tomato and Matar(Peas) Chutney. The surprising element was the Bhujia offered during the lunch. This was new to me completely.
The evening was spend at a Restaurant near the Place where I ate Kher Sangri and one other dish made up of Soya. The food was supported by some sweets and Papad. Loved the Food completely.

The next day with normal course of discussion, lunch was comprising of Bajre ki Roti with a lot of Ghee, Gur salads, Chutney, and Moong daal ka halwa. Loved it a lot. Loved the Raasthani Hospitality which I have heard of often.
In the evening, I got some time to explore the city. I visited a few placed in the near vicinity. I found that the place is economical to live, the place is very clean. I found that houses are very spacious and many new houses being built were also having the touch of the old Rajasthani architecture. The people were very friendly and very humble. Even in the mid-December, the place was not very cold.
I have to board my train back to Delhi at 8 pm, so I have to rush back to my hotel to check out. Got some Paneer Sandwiches for my dinner, which was not traditional, but of course was tasty. I have got a few snaps from my mobile from the hotel restaurant window. They are not very good but to show you the place, I am adding it into my Blog post. I think it is a place you can visit at least once.
